Bathroom Renovation: Complete Plumbing in the Outaouais
From reworking the piping to installing the fixtures, we handle all the plumbing for your bathroom project.
What we do
We work on our own or alongside your general contractor, depending on the size of the project.
- Relocating and replacing supply and drain lines
- Shower, tub and tub-shower installation
- Sink and faucet installation
- Toilet installation and drain connection
- Bringing the existing system up to code
How the project works
It always starts with a site visit. We look at where the fixtures sit today, the condition of the visible piping, the type of drain and whether the moves you want are feasible. You then get a detailed quote and a realistic schedule.
The work normally happens in two passes. The first, before the walls close up, covers supply, drainage, venting and the valve bodies; it is also when inspection is easiest. The second pass, once tile and paint are done, is for setting the fixtures, the visible trim and running the tests.
A planned project, with no surprises
We visit the site, assess the condition of the existing system and provide a detailed quote. You know the schedule and the costs before the work begins.
We coordinate with the other trades so the plumbing is ready at the right moment and your bathroom is not out of service longer than necessary.
What affects the scope of the work
Moving a toilet or a shower means changing the drain and its slope, which can require opening the floor. Keeping fixtures in place cuts the work dramatically. Building age matters too: cast iron piping, lead drains, missing venting or tired drain stacks all add code-compliance steps.
Fixture choices have a direct impact: a linear-drain shower, a freestanding tub or a wall-mounted concealed faucet do not connect like a standard model. We discuss this before you buy, to avoid bad surprises at installation.
When it counts as an emergency
A renovation is planned work, but a discovery can become urgent: a pipe leaking behind an open wall, a cracked drain, water staining in the subfloor. We tell you right away, document the finding and propose the fix before closing up, since that is the only moment when access is easy.
After the work
We pressurize the system, check every joint, test the drains and confirm there is no leak under the vanity or around the toilet base. We show you where the shut-off valves are and put everything back in service with you present.
You receive a detailed invoice and our workmanship warranty; the fixture warranties are yours, and we tell you what paperwork to keep.
Major renovations and rental units
We also handle the plumbing for heavy residential renovations and conversions into rental units.
